"Pen is mightier than sword " but can it be Eco-friendly too.

The pen is used largely used throughout the World and that to plastic pens to write, as the English words go "The pen is mightier than the sword" were first written by novelist and playwright Edward Bulwer-Lytton in 1839, in his historical play Cardinal Richelieu.

There is a new future invention of pens which is Eco-friendly the materials used for the pen are vegetable, newspapers and fruit seeds an alternative for Pens. This was developed by two-Bhubaneshwar-based Innovators. Prem Panday and MD Ahmad Raza were concerned about plastic pollution. The concern about the environment led them to manufacture their start-up company 'LIKNA'. So the two pens come from two variants - one consists of Vegetable, fruit and flower seeds in it and after use, it regenerates into plants after being thrown. While the other is made without seeds. And are you thinking about how much would the price be? It's affordable and it is for Rs.5 & Rs.7.

"We tried to make Eco-friendly alternative of plastic pens, as plastic is harming our environment. These pens aren't completely plastic-free as they have a plastic refill, but the body of the pen has been created from the newspaper. Our next aim is to do away with a plastic refill," told Prem Panday. That is how these two people from Bhubaneshwar is changing the World.

The pen is made up of Polystyrene is a synthetic aromatic hydrocarbon polymer made from the monomer styrene and the General-purpose polystyrene is clear, hard, and rather brittle. It is an inexpensive resin per unit weight which is used in the production of Pen. United States produces 2 billion pens alone in a year. Just imagine the entire World. But we throw away approximately 1.6 billion plastic disposable pens a year. All these pens are a threat to the environment cheap material, inexpensive and the one which we can't recycle is all threat to mankind.

We know that we can't eliminate the plastic entirely but we can recycle and upcycle by finding alternatives throughout the World. Thanks to inventors, scientists, and environmentalist who is finding solutions for finding alternatives.
